Anthony Herta is a passionate, experienced journalist and communications professional that specializes in digital and social media strategy and content. Growing up in the Detroit area and learning his way around the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) at a very early age gave him a deep love for the automotive industry and Motor City.

Currently, Herta is an Automotive Product/Brand Writer at GP Strategies where he collaborates with automotive OEM clients to develop PR/marketing programs, strategies and digital communication materials for in-dealership trainers. He’s also the Founder and Editor of YouthAutos.com, an automotive review website and YouTube channel targeted towards younger car buyers and enthusiasts. YouthAutos has grown to an audience of over 4,500 followers.

Prior to that, Herta was the Associate Editor at Motor1.com and covered press conferences, backgrounders and events, including the 2017 SEMA Show, 2018 Hyundai Accent ride-and-drive, and Cadillac Super Cruise media program. Earlier, he was a staff writer for GMAuthority.com and covered the 2016 NAIAS and other news events.

In 2016, Herta worked on the FCA Product Communications team and supported executives at the first U.S. drive for the 2017 Fiat 124 Spider and several other events. He also wrote a portion of the 2019 Ram 1500's press kit and blog post for the company’s first vacuum system in the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.

One year earlier, Herta interned at Road&Track magazine where he supported the editorial team at special events such as “Motown Mile” and participated in meetings with PR teams from major automotive companies and suppliers. That same year, he also interned at Autoline and was mentored by John McElroy. Earlier, he was a general assignment intern at The State News.

Herta graduated Cum Laude from Michigan State University with a journalism degree and minor in public relations. He is a recipient of seven Michigan Interscholastic Press Association awards.

As far as driving goes, he’s comfortable in fast cars and on the race track, having completed high performance driving certification from Skip Barber Racing School.
